How to Choose a Toothbrush
Brushing your teeth is a part of a good foundation of good dental hygiene, but did you know that there might be more to choosing a toothbrush than looking at its appearance and price? The fact of the matter is that you ought to consider several factors when picking a toothbrush. Here are some of them.
Choose softer bristles. You might think that the harder the bristles, the better. However, hard bristles can cause damage to the gums.
Choose one with a comfortable handle. When you grip the brush, you ought to feel really comfortable with it.
Don’t pay extra for power brushes. Yes, they are fun and seem to clean teeth better. Studies show, however, that power toothbrushes do not really have much advantage over the manual ones; so don’t waste your money on them.
Of course, no matter how good your toothbrush is, it will not do you any good unless you actually use it regularly.
